Conservatory Transformation – Glass to Tiled Solid Roof

This was an installation in Buckfastleigh for a new tiled roof. Their existing conservatory was a brown pvc-u Edwardian style conservatory with glass panels. The customer wanted a more usable room all year round so decided on a solid roof system instead of a replacement glass roof.

As you can see from the pictures they opted for two Velux style roof windows which let the light in nicely and provide good ventilation. They also chose the plastered finish for the interior so they could paint it white to keep the room bright. The Metrotile in Burnt Umber chosen to complete the roof.

The customer was kind enough to send us photos after they had decorated, you can see how homely it looks now they have all their furniture back in and have added some colour to the walls.

As you can see from the pictures it has made a huge difference to the conservatory not just visually but in energy efficiency and comfort. The room can be used for so much more now as it is more like an extension.
